Message-ID: <3915@labtam.oz> Date: 1 Mar 90 01:04:03 GMT Organization: Labtam Limited., Melbourne, Australia Lines: 15 A site run by some friends without net access are having some touble running chuvol on a 760Mbyte SCSI drive. It is set up as one logical volume under SR10.1.1.2 (Mentor patched version of SR10.1). (The disk is out of a node with a faulty mother board.) chuvol starts to run ok but seems to hang while perparing the file list. It has been left for 3 hours or so without getting past this stage. Does chuvol handle volumes of this size? If no, would splitting the disk into two logical volumes fix this? (as a work around we could swap the node ID proms and archive the disk to tape or copy the files to another machine, however the above questions are still relevant.)
