I'd write an efficient compiler before even thinking about porting unix. Hell, I'd write an efficient compiler, period. The main reason the IIGS has miserable games support among the big name game companies is because there aren't any C compilers good enough to produce code that runs efficiently on it. It's a research problem; good compilers can be developed for anything but they take time. One of the best signs from Apple we could see is a PLEDGE TO FIX APW.
