I recently installed an ST-225 which was previously used on a Pro-350 for a number of years. I was really happy to finally have a hard disk for the Rainbow. But when I ran DEC's HD partitioning & formatting software it refused to recognize the correct size of the hard disk. It only allowed me to format the HD to partitions totaling 10 Mb. The ST-225 is a 20 Mb disk, I'm quite certian. So I went ahead and partitioned and formatted my hard disk, ending up with two 4.8 Mb partitions but with the intention of reformatting as soon as I found a better utility. Enter WUTIL311. I ran it expecting to reformat and repartition correctly all 20 Mb and to my dismay WUTIL told me I had a RD50 10 Mb hard drive and refused to allow me to create any new partitions. YEAAAAACCCCHH!!! What can I do to make full use of the 20 Mb I have ? Is it a function of the controller card? Could my BIOS be too early a version?
