If anyone AM> has a manual available or one to copy, I would appreciate hearing from AM> you. At the moment, however, the switch settings are my prime concern. There is an LPQ03 printer stacked up with my VT180 awaiting its lucky new owner to pick them up. Its manuals are EK-LQP03-UG-002 and -RM-001; suggest you try obtaining them from DEC. Here is a summary of the switch settings: CONFIGURATION SWITCH PACK 1 SP1-1, SP2-2, SP2-3 control baud rate. Set them to rear, front, front for the Rainbow (4800 baud). SP1-4 controls printer self-test; set to rear for normal use. SP1-5 selects stop bits; set to front position for Rainbow. SP1-6 controls data length; rear position for 8-bit data. SP1-7, SP1-8 control parity. Set both to front position for space. CONFIGURATION SWITCH PACK 2 SP2-1, -2, -3, and -4 select printwheel language code. Set all to rear for US/ASCII SP2-8 is the printer identifier switch. Front = LQP02 (factory setting), and rear = LQP03. That should do it. --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Maryland - 301-622-2247 (1:109/123) ------------------------------
