Is it any good (Support Super VGA ?, EMS Message-ID: <1662@clmqt.marquette.Mi.US> Date: 1 Mar 90 02:35:01 GMT Organization: Enterprise Information System, Marquette, MI Lines: 21 References: <4373@mhres.mh.nl> I have used PC Paintbrush IV, and was disappointed in how it ran. It does support a vast selection of video cards, BUT, and it is a BIG BUT, it will not run any of them in the 256 color mode above the MCGA 320x200 mode. PC-P IV does not know of the existence of EMS or XMS memory! You are limited to the 640K DOS limit. Now, PC Paintbrush IV Plus will do all of what you asked. It recognizes EMS/XMS memory, will turn the excess hard drive space into virtual memory if needed, and supports most hand-held scanners from within the program. The cost is a bit steeper, but if you are doing any work at all in the Super VGA modes, it is well worth the coins. -- Tim Bowser ("Strikemaster") | Standard | mailrus!sharkey!clmqt!strike Enterprise Information System | Disclaimer | strike@clmqt.marquette.Mi.US Marquette, Mi.
