You can have a floppy disk controller and a hard disk controller. You are probably thinking that you can not have 2 hard disk controllers. This is true, but only due to the nature of the ROM bios and/or O/S. For example, Unix for 386 machines, do not use the ROM bios and can support 2 hard disk controllers. *Mel
