I would appreciate info on the following topics: 0) Is this procedure advisable and can it be reliable? 1) Cheap hand-held scanners for IBM PCs and their performance, if what I'm asking is possible with cheap scanners. 2) Availability of software to transform scanned images into text files importable to a spreadsheet and how reliable this procedure is. Please e-mail your suggestions to me and if there is enough interest I'll post a summary, or send it to anybody who asks me about it. Thanks in advance, Walter Garcia-Fontes.
