I am wondering if there is anyone over the net who know how to solve
my problem about a Toshiba 1000.  Any hint/pointer/help will be very
appreciated.

My problem is that the "config.sys" in the laptop says
"SHELL=a:\command.com", and it always looks for a command.com at the
driver A and then hangs when trying boot it up from the ROM.  I cannot
find any way to remove this config.sys from the RAM in the manuals.
