Also, is there source code for >this for the PC? > A program named PAX was posted to c.b.i.p. recently (I think I saw a note from the moderator since then about a newer one coming soon). this program supposedly provides the functionality of both tar and cpio for PC's. I grabbed it but haven't tried it yet, so I can't report on it myself. Fred
