I'm running SCSI under 386/ix using an Adaptec 1542 and Micropolis
9380S drive.  The throughput is excellent - at times as high as 1.23
megabytes/sec.  Under DOS - the drive and controller benched at 980
kb/sec.

I don't know about your OMTI card - but the Adaptec smokes!
