The actual application is a bit hard to describe, but is similar in complexity to presenting the user with a form to fill in with one of ~50 different customer's orders for a collection of 50-75 purchases of different types of widgets. Periodically, I need to produce reports that let me show by widget, for a given time period, all the customers that ordered a particular types, with grand totals, and other summaries. One of the summary reports would be a list of all orders for all widgets in a particular category. Naturally, I'd like to be able to add to the lists of customers or widgets without massive re-programming. I've investigated using the simple database in Microsoft Works, but there is not sufficient flexibility in the reports I can generate. I'm considering Acius 4th Dimension 2.0 or FoxBase II. I want the programming to be as easy as possible, but still have plenty of options and power. Any suggestions? Please respond directly to me. I just can't keep up with all the netnews groups any more. I'll summarize if I get any responses. Thanks in advance, I appreciate you sharing your experience with me.
