Is it possible to deselect (a la a control) an editText item in a modal
dialog?  I haven't been able to find anything along these lines while 
digging through IM.

In other words, once I have a particular routine running, I don't want
the user to be able to change the editable field until I reenable it.

Any responses will be greatly appreciated, although those by mail will
be even more so, since I'll probably read those. :-)
