The company you mention is Rockfield Software which indeed specialises in Finite Element analysis software. They are based in Swansea in Wales. Your suggestion that their software can only utilize single Transputers is not true. Many of the applications they are working on are ideal for implementation on 'highly parallel' arrays of Transputers. They have a number of different software products for the Transputer and I believe most of the are at lest capable of utilising multiple processors, although I cannot comment on the licencing restrictions the number of processors used. The range of softare products encompass Tranputer Systems hosted by PC's and Sun workstations. On the PC, they provide uFLOW for flow analysis and uPLAST for elast-plastic analysia as well as many others. On the Sun workstation they have developed a Transient Dynamic analysis package using the Transtech Multi-Computing Platform.
