Subject: Unix 'pic'-like tool for LaTeX?

I recently received the PiCTeX manual and disk from AMS, and am very 
impressed... but it's not quite what I wanted.  

What I was hoping for was something like the 'pic' preprocessor that
plays with eqn, tbl, and troff:  A simple object-oriented language 
for drawing pictures with LaTeX.  

Is there anything like that out there?
