After Knuth announced TeX 3.0, Tom Rokicki said that he didn't want to 
make those changes to AmigaTeX because of the large amount of work that
would be necessary. I don't know if he's changed his mind, but I sure hope
so. 

Perhaps Tom would care to comment?
