What I've worked out so far is that I need to create a tfm file from an Adobe font metric file. What I have is a mac file which seems to be Fontographer output containing a PS font called LaserLondon. Whilst there is no sign of a afm file I presume this information is buried inaccessably in the data fork of the file. This presumption is based on the fact I can use the font without problems within Word 4. Has anyone else done this and prepared to pass on their experience? Does anyone have a mac application or unix tool to do what I want? I've experimented with a small application from MacTeX but it seems to want a specific afm file and can't deal with the font file I have. My guess is that similar problems are encountered with any implementation of TeX trying to include postscript fonts. Thanks, in advance, for any help. (Even if it's RTFM, as long as the manual is specified) --- Leigh +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ UUCP : {mcvax,uunet,ubc-cs,ukc}!munnari!spam.ua.oz.au!lhume Bitnet : lhume%spam.ua.oz.au%munnari.oz@cunyvm.bitnet Leigh HUME JANET : munnari!spam.ua.oz.au!lhume@uk.ac.ukc Mathematics Department ARPA : lhume%spam.ua.oz.au@uunet.uu.net University of Adelaide ACSnet : lhume@spam.ua.oz GPO Box 498 Fax : +61-8-224-0464 ADELAIDE 5001 Telephone : +61-8-267-5914 (home) AUSTRALIA +61-8-228-5948 (office) +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+
