AP> I do wish that agencies for The Disabled would hire AP> competent people. Is that a fairy's wish? Yes. At the moment. Not enough is known about what it is like to be disabled. The social taboos are so strong, that we have all internalized the horrors & fears of living this "taboo lifestyle". As we chat here, we gain a new perspective -- that it is indeed ok to feel and experience the world, as we really experience it. I find that transferring my confused, amorphous feelings into some kind os sentence -- this process of verbalizing is increasing my ability to convey what it means to be ME, to the people around me. Those who use this conference as a way of defining their lives, are doing an essential first step into preparing the rest of the planet to recognize, yes, there is a worthwhile life after we are born disabled, or after we become disabled.
