In a recent column in _Computer Language_, P.J. Plaugher (sp?) talked
about some delays that the ANSI standard was experiencing as the result
of one individual's efforts.

I don't know anything about this, but would like to hear more.  If this
is (as I suspect) a hornets' nest of opinion and religious flammage, I'd
appreciate reading relatively objective accounts.  Thanks.
