Once again, in case someone missed it (I got no reply, but I still
think the question is interesting):

 "Now that adobe has published the type 1 font format, will they give
  us some way to execute 'pathforall', when there is a 'charpath' in
  the current path?"  (For instance, an eexecable operator 'pathunlock'
  for the most popular printers.)

For the question "How do I get a bitmap back from the printer" we got
the answer "This has no useful applications" (which isn't true IMHO,
but that is another issue), but I don't think that rebuttal works in
this case.
