There are literally hundreds of students, faculty, staff members, and administrators that use elm on a daily basis. Our department, Information Services, has chosen elm and provides training and support to all of these users. This "user inertia" has what has kept us from moving to version 2.2 of elm, due to the (admittedly slight) variations in the user-interface. We have recently become aware of some nasty bugs in 2.1 that make us want to move to 2.2 as soon as possible. This will require quite a bit of retraining. My question is whether or not there are any changes in the user-interface between 2.2 and 2.3. If there are, and 2.3 will indeed be released within a few months time, we would be inclined to put off a move to 2.2 and wait for 2.3 Can anyone please describe the type of changes to the UI in 2.3 and tell me if it in fact will be released by June. (The last speculative date I saw was May.) Thanks for any info. Tim Perala (tperala@ub.d.umn.edu) Systems Programmer Information Services University of Minnesota, Duluth (218) 726-6122
