(April 90 issue - I subscribe :-) [no flames about this PLEASE! I like the 'rag']) Anyway, it was featured in their now-a-regular-column, Ear to the Wall. It states that WB 2.0(formerly 1.4) is set for early THIS year. (which is/was the date the NET people have projected - so nothing NEW there) It also says that Commodore will be offering an 'aggressive' trade in offer for the A1000 owners because WB 2.0 will not be supporting that machine. Although this is from a rumor-mill, I think it contains some truth value to it. I was reading a Commodore ad in the same magazine about the A1000 trade in offer(YES, CBM put out a full page ad for this) titled 'THE COMPUTER DEAL OF THE DECADE'. In the context, one of the sentences read 'Commodore will be introducing many new exciting technologies for the Amiga 2000 series in the 1990's, and we want you to be able to take advantage of them all.' It gives us something to think about. TO those die-hard A1000 owners, WB1.4 might not support your machine.(which is the topic we already discussed here on the NET) If I might add one more thing about the AD, Commodore makes it clear that the offer is only good til MARCH 31st, 1990 and this magazine is slated for April. It might hit the shelves a little earlier or later(give or take a few days), but this might be a little too late for A1000 owners who might take advantage of this deal. Maybe Commodore ran some ads before, but I haven't seen any until now. We, the NET users have known about this for quite awhile now, but there are others out there. Hmmm, I wonder if Commodore would extend this offer.(and the ED. Discount ) Sun....
