I personally like the dogfighting the best. So don't use missiles. I agree it isn't all that hard to shoot down a plane with an AMRAAM, but try it with guns. I suspect it might take you a while, at least to get it down consistently. By the way, we (my roomies and I) have developed a wish list for F/A-18 II, or whatever it will be called: - A different city. San Francisco was a great choice for the first one, but I have now explored every square mile of the available terrain. May I suggest NYC as the next city? - (of course) More scenarios. - Modification of what happens when you ditch in the ocean. Don't just have the plane sit there at 0 knots. Make it sink! - A "turbine failure" would immediately assume you no longer have thrust - so make it that way - don't just freeze the throttle and pitch controls! - Make the working ceiling more than 40960 feet. How about if you go higher than 60000 feet you get a flame out?
