Boot it.

If it's a ROM 03 it will say so right at the bottom.
Or if you have no disk to boot, turn on the computer and you will get
the Check Startup Device! error message. Then press Control-option-openapple-n.
If it's a ROM 03 the computer will say: Apple //!
