Mr. > Fixit saved my life. [...] All seems to be fine. I recently had a similar experience. I had just purchased ProSel 16 and decided to give it a run for the money. I did a full backup of both partitions (65 meg. hd) and ran the volume test/repair. I was shocked at how many problems it found and fixed! I've only had the drive for 6 months. Who knows how long I've been sitting on a time bomb. I then ran BeachComber 32 (which took two hours+ for each partition) and was quite pleased with how much it has reduced the "thrashing" (due to segmentation). How did I live without this? I have one question along this line: How does one find out about & get ahold of the latest updates to ProSel? I know about the online services (GEnie, AO, etc.) that he lives on, but I currently don't have access to them. If I go the snail mail route, how do I find out when he's done an update? (He doesn't mail everybody a notice does he?) Is it considered "kosher" to get it from some one else who has the online access? Thanks in advance.
