I know how to use ftp, when and where to use ascii and binary (and even tenex). I know kermit, and all about it's binary/text setup. I've downloaded a most of the stuff from the archive sites, twice, and still there are a few that wont work properly. Lynx12 wont de-lynx stuff on my 1571, but it's supposed to. I don't have an sfd or a 1541, has anyone got lynx12 working? Crabterm.sda won't de-archive, and videolib128 just locks up my 128. Please don't tell me how to use ftp/kermit, I've already checked that. Also, previewing readme or doc/txt files on a non-commodore system will show upper-case as lower-case and vice-versa. Not a real problem, but it does tend to cause a headache eventually :-). I've ftp'd stuff for dos, unix, xenix, cp/m, and commodores, I'm very sure this isn't the problem. Is anyone checking the software on the archives? I would love to have a working 128+1571 de-lynxer, is there one out there? -- Simon Gales@The University of Kentucky simon@ms.uky.edu | 'Fate... protects fools, little children, simon@UKMA.BITNET | and ships named Enterprise.' {rutgers, uunet}!ukma!simon | - Riker, ST:TNG
