Message-ID: <27613@cup.portal.com> Date: 6 Mar 90 19:09:09 GMT Distribution: na Organization: The Portal System (TM) Lines: 14 We're going to be buying a 2nd MicroVAX (a 3800; we already have a MV II). We'd prefer not to buy a TK-50 or -70 drive for it, and we are buying a 9-track (TU-81 compatible) drive from a 3rd party that will be attached to the 3800. We can't be sure when we'll get the 9-track OR the 3800. Is it possible for us to do the initial VMS load over DEC-Net or some other way from our MicroVAX? Or should I just mount the MicroVAX TK-70 in the 3800 long enough to do the system load? Comments and suggestions welcome and desired! Gordon Zaft zaft@cup.portal.com
