Does the LA100 have a similar problem as the LA50 with the capacitor blowing out. I have repaired the LA50 with similar problems but the LA100 is foreign to me. Also the setup key doesnt respond. The LA100 is a keyboard version and I am curious whether the cartriges are available(reasonably) and if they would be worth acquiring. Would appreciate any help. About a year ago it was ~$100.00, and avail in CP/M or MS-DOS versions. Their phone number is (408)297-5583. Hope it helps. --- QM v1.00 * Origin: ; (1:102/139.0) ------------------------------ Date: 03-06-90 To: RICH HUEBNER Subject: TURBO PASCAL From: MAYNARD MARQUIS In a message of < 3 Mar 90 16:25:32>, Rich Huebner (1:322/14) writes: > Does anyone know where I can find Turbo Pascal for the Rainbow 100+ >I need a GOOD deal on the price..... Turbo Pascal 5.5 for the IBM has a command line compiler that runs on the DEC Rainbow. You cannot use some of the units such as CRT, though. I think you lose the debugger support as well. I'm not aware of a Rainbow specific version 5.0 that runs the integrated development environment. Good luck. Is anyone aware of a BGI graphics driver for the Rainbow? --- msged 1.99S ZTC * Origin: TeleTalk BBS 14.4 *HST*(203-674-1802) (1:142/328) ------------------------------ Date: 03-10-90 (21:54) To: MAYNARD MARQUIS Subject: TURBO PASCAL From: GEORGE THEALL MM>I'm not aware of a Rainbow specific version 5.0 that runs the integra MM>development environment. Good luck. While the commandline version of TURBO Pascal v5.0 runs fine "as-is" on the Rainbow, the IDE requires Code Blue. John Lellis said here last November that his board (Over the Rainbow... 1:106/503) had available for download Rainbow-specific CRT and GRAPH units. MM>Is anyone aware of a BGI graphics driver for the Rainbow? How different is a BGI graphics driver from the GRAPH.TPU that comes with TURBO Pascal? Jim O'Brien of Yale has written a graphics unit for TURBO Pascal which supposedly replicates the functionality of Borland's own GRAPH.TPU.
