I've been using an HP-48SX with a (shhh!) 1040ST from Atari for several
months now.  Any Kermit package works fine.  (Try Flash, Uniterm, etc.)

Someone also asked about the merits of buyinhg the cable without the
PC disk.  By all means, buy the disk.  It has some excellent HP-48SX
applications on it that you won't want to miss.  (Like printing 
graphics on your Epson or PCL printer.)

Excuse the typos.  I hate vi.
