It happened again that night. I re entered the FAST program into the 28s. I tried to create a variable in another directory named "FAST" and for whatever reason it didn't execute properly (maybe recursively) So the 28s went bye bye AGAIN the second time in one day, RIGHT AFTER I RE ENTERED EVERYTHING BACK IN!! But the story has a happy ending! I figured that if I momentarily disconnected/opened the battery door (obviously the thing was running) I might be able to get the calculators attention, but not loose memory. It was worth a try since the next step was to power down anyway. IT WORKED!!!! I took several (3 or 4) tries; each time slightly longer. It came back with no memory loss!!!! Alan
