For instance, xterm -xrm "*translations: \#override F1: string(\"F1\")" gives me Translation table syntax error: Modifier or '<' expected Found while parsing '#override F1: string("F1")'. Translation table syntax error: Missing '<'. Found while parsing '#override F1: string("F1")'. Translation table syntax error: Unknown event type. Found while parsing '#override F1: string("F1")'. Translation table syntax error: Missing '>' Found while parsing '#override F1: string("F1")'. Illegal instruction Strangely enough, this works in the MIT xterm (X11R3 & X11R4) -- Neil Dixon UUCP:...!mcvax!esatst!neil, BITNET: NDIXON@ESTEC Thermal Control & Life Support Division (YC) European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
