The system (20 Mhz Gateway 386) that I ordered (on 2/19)
arrived yesterday (3/8) at noon.

Yes, the system works. (-:

I'm pretty satisfied with its operation.


Based on my experience, if you're looking to get a 386, I can
recommend Gateway's. 
It seems to perform very well, and as advertised, and was 
delivered promptly for mail order (even if my order might
have been sped up if some Gateway person happened to stumble
across my postings on USENET (-: - as has been suggested to me
by an emailer)


Oh one caveat ... The text on the monitor they sent with the system is not
as sharp as my old Sony 1302. One might consider not buying the
monitor from Gateway.
But the overall GATEWAY system seem excellent so far.
