Why, after I install an extended partition on a non-standard drive with Disk Manager or Speedstore, does chkdsk no longer work on the extended partition? It reports "Invalid Media type". I understand that it is not a DOS partition, but what is chkdsk looking for to work? What can I recommend to use in place of it? I reailze the newer versions of DOS take care of this, but the drive isn't supported in the bios drive tables... Any help is appreciated! -rick -- Rick Mills {gargoyle.uchicago.edu,uunet.uu.net,spl1,ddsw1}!jpusa1.uucp!rick
