Lines: 22 I am sure most people have heard about the new laserjet. I don't intend that this become a commercial for HP, but I am interested in anyone's experiences (albiet short) with the new printer. A few of the things I have found out: -1 meg is standard -uses the same memory boards as the IIP -Pacific Data Products IIP boards will not be compatible unless shipped after Mar 31 (I called PDP, because I wanted to find out if we could use them) -Has font scaling -Smooths curves -Bitstream's fonts will work as far as the III is compatible with the II, I had a real hard time understanding the person there, so I think they will work the same way they do on the other lasers. If my wording is imprecise, you'll have to excuse me I am not interested in typography. Jeers to Digital Review and other magazines that don't publish a company's 800 number for us lazy type who don't want to have to call 800-info. -- John F.
