Just to throw caution to the wind.  In an article I read (PC Mag?) within the last 9 months or so.  AMI motherboards were superior to mylex or micronics in 
processing speed.

Also, I'd go with the SCSI instead of the ESDI interface.  It gives you more
options and connectivity.
