I had crashing problems from the beginning, but I thought it was some piece of software that I had installed. Then it got worse. Finally, it got so bad that the machine would only run about 15 minutes. It would just hang or get a bomb 1, 3, or 7. A few times it got a sad mac with code F0003. At the end, I was running on a write locked apple floppy and still had bombs. At that point I concluded that it couldn't be the software so I took it back (under warranty). The machine has been with the dealer for over 2 weeks. The tech claims that they ran diagnostics and found that the system board is bad. Furthermore he claims that they cannot get replacement system boards for the 4 customer machines that they have in their repair department (all SE/30). He also said something about the possibility of design problems in the SE/30 system board. At this point, I want the machine back and working. I wish Apple would get its act together and get good spare parts to the field. John Unruh
