The information on AppleLink doesn't explicitly address this question (unlike the previous 2 questions for which I gave answers). It does mention (several times) that this global warranty applies to equipment sold in the U.S. There's nothing about restrictions on a customer's residence, or that a customer's residence is even relevant.
