I used to agree with you, but I have found that I actually prefer the cable coming out of the rear. The reason is that I move my mac fairly regularly. All I have to do is tilt the thing forward and unplug all the cables. No more 'oops, I forgot the keyboard' as it dangles towards the floor. -- William C.
