I would suggest, you start $a terminal instead of a shell. If you need to use a shell, I think $cheating is the best way. If you pretend your shell is a vt100 - terminal, $it won't hurt a lot with the shell-application, as only very few $escape sequences are used (-> it will look a little messy, but legible). $>> set term=vt100 $You can also try some dumb terminal emulations - usually "set term=dialup" $is a safe way to go. $ $The cut&paste should work now, although it might not always be in the $desired format...
