The Shell app just doesn't emulate a full-screen terminal very well --
it's a lot more like a ``glass tty''.  If you want to run a
full-screen program such as tn3270, you're going to *have* to use
Terminal. 

It would be nice if Terminal and Shell were merged; the xterm terminal
emulator for the X window system has been doing it for a long time, so
it's not technically impossible to have a history review buffer in a
full-screen terminal emulator.
