     I have a copy of GNU EMACS 18.54 on Xenix 2.3 and I am having
trouble with the ld (Link Edit) portion of the make file.  The ld command line
is about 7 1/2 screen lines line - too long for a Xenix command line.  Does
anyone have a workaround that will enable me to successfully compile this
editor?
