I have ESIX 3.2 rel B and find it a good solid AT&T port.  There were
a few problems but Everex seems to putting a lot of effort into fixing
them.  One thing that is probably important is dealing with someone who
is committed to the ESIX product rather than some dealer who just carries
it because they carry the rest of the Everex line.

Perhaps you should give us some idea of what you want to do and people
can give you specific advice based on their experience.  I don't mean
telling us your specific application but do you need X-Windows, RFS,
curses etc.
