Lines: 18 After I upgraded from Xenix 2.3.1 to 2.3.2 I started having a problem with the uucp port's device driver permissions. As per the install procedure I set the port's permissions to: crw-rw-rw- uucp uucp with uucp as the group and owner. Every time mail is sent through this modem port (either incoming or outgoing) the permissions change to: crw--w--w- uucp uucp (NOTE: two reads are "removed") What is causing this to happen? Why are the group & other read permissions being stripped? How can I "fix" this? I have heard that others are experiencing the same problem with Xenix 2.3.2 & 2.3.3 which I have since updated to.
