Upon reading through the man entry for lp, I found a '-T' option which allows the user to print files through the printer port attached to their terminal. (In our case, the terminals are PS/2s running terminal emulation software, "DEJA-VU", which claims to have local printer support.) After typing . . . echo test |lpr -T I get . . . No such printer "". (from the XENIX box - nothing whatsoever from the printer) This occurs on all other lp -T type requests I made. I tried "mkdev lp" with no avail. What am I doing wrong and how do I get local printing working ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
