There used to be a nice patch for the R3 Sun server that allowed suspension
of X via a special key-cord (Meta-L2). This would suspend the server and xinit.
Combined with the 'overview' program, this makes for a very convenient
way of switching between the Sunview and the X environment.

This patch (originally from Dana Chee, dana@bellcore.com) can also
be applied to the R4 server and basically works, except for the
code that causes automatic re-exposure of all windows after 
X is continued.

I was wondering whether anybody has done some (hopefully successful) work
to get the whole thing working with R4.
